Divya Bahukhandi is a Melbourne-based artist celebrated for her signature abstract garden paintings in acrylic on canvas. Drawing inspiration from overgrown gardens and organic natural forms, she creates layered compositions that explore rhythm, movement and balance through a contemporary colour palette.

Originally from India, Divya studied fine art through a traditional tutelage system before completing a degree in Industrial Design specialising in textiles. After a successful career designing homewares and textiles for leading Australian and international brands, she returned to painting.

Her work captures the abundance, beauty and wonder of nature through expressive mark-making, layered botanical forms and semi-abstract landscapes.
