Laurie Franklin is a professional artist, selling paintings internationally for 20 years. Currently based in Melbourne, she has lived on 4 continents and travels extensively to explore new landscapes and paint in Art Residencies. Iceland, France, Switzerland, Italy and Canada have influenced recent painting series.

Her recent work captures the play of shapes and contrasts in the ocean. The endless moods of the sea form the backbone of the Ocean Blue series. From simple sketches she utilizes mixed media -including ink, oils, acrylics and gold leaf to capture play of light and depth of this everchanging subject.
