Artist's inspiration: A blueprint is a plan for something yet to be built and an Iris is both a flower and part of the eye. Merging these ideas I am struck by how I love a plan and at times resist the process. I like knowing ahead of time and I'd much rather be told than let it unfold. And this is a lens that I find can reduce the mystery and beauty of life. The simplicity of being absorbed in a moment or in seeing something beautiful right now is far more appealing to me than having the plan complete. Having joy in the process allows a journey that is at times uncertain and cannot be seen, until I step into it.
